Walter Robbins

Don Bradman, Aussie batsman

6. Walter Robbins – The 1936/37 Ashes was a five match thriller and with England leading 2-0, the Australians headed into the third one needing victory. This looked a tricky prospect as England had racked up a healthy lead and were bowling well in the second innings. Gubby Allen bounced the great Don Bradman who hooked straight down the throat of Robbins. Down went the catch, on went Bradman (to score 270) and Australia won the test and the series 3-2.
