Fun Fact: On the 9th of October 1996, Estonia’s World Cup qualifying group game against Scotland was abandoned after just 3 seconds due to the fact that the Estonian team had refused to turn up in protest to a last-minute change of kick-off time due to inadequate floodlights. The referee led the Scottish team out on to the pitch regardless, cheered on by the 1,000-strong Tartan Army – the only supporters in the stadium – before abandoning the game straight after kick off. The incident has become known as ‘One team in Tallinn’ in reference to the chant of ‘there’s only one team in Tallinn’ that the Scottish supporters sang during their brief stay.
